Wifi is now the issue, will not eject USB, and I'm on to another wipe, hoping that a fresh start might produce a different result. Battery is terrible (Battery Bar now shows ~20% reduction in charge capacity), and is slow to respond. Purchased to perform as advertised - robust internals to replace a desktop, be flexible enough to perform on battery for several comfortable hours, and to have a removable touchscreen to watch videos on whilst exercising. If you see a Surface Book, new or used, on sale, there's a very good reason. Forget it, the detachment system will die on you after a month and you can spend hours and hours each month troubleshooting the next reason as to why it can't detach and/or is causing you blue screen of death everytime a wind of air touches the monitor. You probably thought this laptop looked great on paper, because its powerful, you can use it for work, game on it if you want to visit friends and have a fun night playing games and even detach the screen so you can watch Netflix in bed. ![]() We all know most laptops turns into radiators when they're using 20%+ CPU, but this one beats them all. It's a disgrace that this laptop is/was sold for 2-3.000 euro. Read more either crash or make the laptop so warm it sounds like you have a jet engine on your desk or on your lap? You wanna be THAT guy in an open office with all eyes on you because your small compact laptop sounds like it's about to blow up if you have 4 chrome tabs open? Then this laptop is right for you. Would you like a PC packed with hardware, a great Nvidia card that you can barely use, because the thing itself will. Would you like to get 5-10 BSOD's a day while you're working, because the "smart" screen detachment system is made with materials that probably cost $3? If yes, buy a Surface Book 2. I've owned countless of laptops and desktop PC's since the early 90's but the fact that the makers of the most used operating system has slapped their name on such a scandal or a laptop is beyond me. ![]() Probably the worst machine I have ever owned.
